Gervasi will add it to his list of projects in development, as he’s already trying to get Alfred Hitchcock And The Making Of Psycho on screens with Anthony Hopkins attached as the legendary filmmaker.Īnd the crime story isn’t the only Nesbo tale in development. But then he chances his arm in the home of a former mercenary and things go seriously – not to mention violently – wrong. The book’s plot follows a corporate headhunter who moonlights as a cat burglar, stealing valuable paintings and other works of art from his wealthy applicants. Tyldum himself has been nabbed to start working on possible English-language projects and now his film’s source material will be making the leap. Someone already made the book into a film, with director Morten Tyldum overseeing a box-office smash in his native Norway that has since gone on to become its most successful release ever. Case in point: Norwegian author Jo Nesbo’s novel Headhunters, which Summit has snapped up and set Anvil! The Story Of Anvil director Sacha Gervasi up to adapt. With Europe currently a prime target for remake material (especially given the hype over The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo), it’s no surprise that Hollywood’s remake bloodhounds have been sniffing out other properties that could potentially be fresh fodder.
